Counseling & Hypnotherapy Christine M. Griffin, MSW, ACSW, C.HT. brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Plymouth Integrative Medicine Center. Chris is a psychotherapist with 15+ years of experience in her field. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1982 with a masters degree in social work specializing in family therapy, worked in several agencies and mental health clinics and moved into private practice in 1995, when she co-founded the Radiance Institute of Livonia. In May of 1997, Chris founded the Radiant Wellness Center in the heart of Downtown Plymouth. Chris has a certification as a Hypnotherapist through the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association, is a Reiki Level III Master and is a certified meditation teacher. The combination of traditional medical training and new alternative methods of therapy enables Chris to provide powerful integrative healing sessions for those who are "stuck" in their emotional process. Chris has facilitated workshops on self-esteem, codependency recovery, women's issues, self
hypnosis and mirroring and inner child healing. She has been a guest speaker on Radio and
Television shows focusing on alternative healing techniques. Chris has "mentored" other therapists
as well, through the field instructor programs of the Master's level Social Work programs at the
University of Michigan and Wayne State University; and currently supervises and mentors some
hypnosis work. |
